need opinions on esclapez fins.

As part of my on going search for my first free diving fins i have also come across the Esclapez classic green fins, i am able to find almost no reviews or any information on them from people who've used them, if any one has them or has used them before i would a appreciate some feedback and a little review of how they are, and if you would reccomend them. thank you.

I have these fins,and Im very pleased with them,I havent tryed any other longfins so I cant compare,but they seem to bend nicely giving good thrust,comfortable soft footpockets, Im using 5mm socks,got the 44-46 size and my feet are size 43.

I have and use both E-greens and E-carbons. I used the greens exclusively for 2 years, but have changed over to the carbons. Both work really well. I got the greens because the footpocket is the largest around, and I needed to be able to get into them easily during winter diving when fingers tend to go numb while putting gear on.
I really like them, and would have stayed with them if I hadn't received the e-carbons as a Christmas present from my wife last year.

sorry are you talking about the imersion E-greens or the esclapez classic greens?

I wasn't aware that the new JB Esclapez fins were being called greens as well.

The old original green "Escies" used to be one of the best plastic fins around for a while, unfortunatelly the Imersion Greens, while having the same shape and foot pockets (very comfy), are made from a different material, which is softer and not as durable. They're really easy to swim with and are OK for some shallow dives, but if used regullary, they'll only last for a year or two. The Black Imersion blade's stifness is about the same as of the old green Esclapez and seem to be lasting a bit longer. I.M.O. the best plastic freediving fins around these days, as in performance and durability are Cressi Gara 3000 LD, but they don't fit wide feet very well.

Diver. I recently acquired a pair of Esclapez Classic Fins. I really like them. They give me great forward momentum and are very comfortable. I would recommend them. Good luck on your diving.
