Hi all, I made a few of these from 9.6 mm diameter 316 stainless steel tubing. I wanted to improve on the 'plastic' sliders that are on the cyrano 1100 and other guns that I have. A jig was made from an old spear shaft with a hole drilled transversely through , allowed me to heat the stainless tubing and allow access to deform the eyelet for the spearline. It weighs 3.7 grams. The eyelet is 2mm in diameter. The spearshaft is 7mm. Line is 1.7mm stiff dyneema. It is quite slick in the water , and I hung from it , 75kg. so seems quite strong. Being so light it should not peen the spear tail shoulder . I wanted a simple no weld light yet strong slider. I should spend less time tinkering and more time in the water.
