New AIDA Regulations "Appendix"

I. MATERIAL

1. Serial mask without water inside stay mandatory for all AIDA competitions.

2. Nose-clip, goggles, lenses, and any kind ballast other than a weight-belt with a quick-opening-system outside of the divesuit stay forbiden for all AIDA competitions.


II. POINT'S SYSTEM DURING AIDA COMPETITION

1. The new point's system for Static Apnea is 1 minute=12 points/1 second=0.20 points.

2. Point's systems for depth disciplines (1m=1pt) and dynamic apnea (1m=0.5 pt) don't change.


III. OFFICIAL VIDEOTAPES & SURFACING PROCEDURE FOR AIDA COMPETITIONS

1. Official videotapes stay mandatory for EACH performances of AIDA competitions. However, they will now only be used in case of protest from athlete, or Record's recognition procedures.

2. AIDA Judges will now take a «direct-judgement» after each performance, with colored-cards, beetween 30 and 60 seconds after surfacing.

3. The meaning of colored-cards is following
- WHITE = OK performance
- YELLOW = OK performance, but with some penalties
- RED = Disqualification

4. The surfacing's procedure, detailled in the current AIDA regulations, don't change for the athletes.


IV. CONSTANT WEIGHT & CONSTANT WEIGHT WITHOUT FINS

1. Athletes will be now allowed to GRAB the rope several times at the bottom for both AIDA competitions and World Records in a specific marked area of 1.50 meter above the bottom plate.

2. Only ONE pulling stay allowed to reach the plate during the descent, and ONE pulling to start the ascent.


V. JURY FOR INTERNATIONAL AIDA COMPETITIONS

1. Following some internal nomination's procedures, the composition of the Jury for International AIDA Competitions will be now composed by :

- 3 «worldwide» International AIDA Judges
- 2 «local» (*) International AIDA Judges
- 4 «local» (*) Assistant-Judges (National or International Judges)



(*) «Local» = At least the complete country of the organizer or the country of event's location


VI. BLACK-OUT & LOSS OF MOTOR CONTROL

1. Loss of motor control and black-out stay forbiden during both AIDA competitions and World Records (performance not valid = disqualification)

2. A description of black-out and loss of motor control's symptoms will be added in the next version of AIDA Regulations, in order to have detailled criterias for Judges.


VII. WORLD RECORD RECOGNITION

1. The AIDA Executive Board, represented by the AIDA Responsible for Records or the AIDA President, stay responsible to finalize the recognition of World Records, both during AIDA Competitions and AIDA world record attempts.

2. Judges at location stay responsible to check the deroulement of the attempts, the respect of the AIDA regulations, and to forward then as soon as possible all the official material to AIDA (reports, videotapes, etc.)


VIII. WORLD RECORD ATTEMPTS' SESSIONS RESTRICTIONS

1. The maximal duration of World Record attempt's session is now 7 days with International AIDA Judges at location, whatever the number of disciplines or attempts organized.

2. The maximal number of attempts allowed for each depth's disciplines (with or without sled) is 3 attempts per discipline during the same attempt's session.
