Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
That's pretty impressive, considering how quick your pace is and that you wear no neck ballast! Just slap 2-3kg on your neck and allow your self to glide between strokes and you'll hit 100m in no time...I counted 14 strokes for 50m. That's a lot...

Correct weighing makes a world of difference.
 
Congratulations, well done. All the more harder in a 50m pool too.

Balance.

If you fill your lungs completely full, you will float like a cork (at least I do). As you're floating upwards, you'll be constantly swimming a little downwards to keep under water and wasting huge amounts of energy.

It really makes a big difference.

A simple experiment is to kick of the wall and glide as far as you can. Without a neck weight, you'll propably float to surface after some 5-10 meters. With a proper neck weight, you'll find your self half way through a 25m pool with just one kick! You should weight your self so, that you are neutral or just slightly positive in the depth you usually swim in.
