Yes, that's exact. The money was already booked from your account, and masks sent. Additionally I charged you 100% surcharge for the extra big order. rofl

Hey everyone,
I accidentally selected 20 masks in the poll, and I definitely made a mistake. Please take me off the list.
Thanks,
lambony

Lambony, you have our deepest sympathy on who your parents are! No pay up on the masks!

(it's not an order, don't worry I think trux understands)

My Flow mask
1) more ugly than sphera
2) Cheaper
3) Slightly less quality
4) Small nose (me have big nose)
5) does not seal under the nose as good as Sphera
6) Hard to equalize the mask (channel between nose and the other part)
7) Not as good visibility as Sphera, vision more distorted (can make sensitive people seasick)
8) hard to suck air back on ascent

BUT
9) lesser volume (I am sure)
10) Hign compressability

Took it down to 30 without equalizing it, no problem
Took it down to 43 with no EQ, but then it started filling up as I went deeper.
No eyes injuries.

Definitely in meters. I took it to 28 meters to test the compressibility, and even kept my nose pressed all the time to avoid involuntary compensation, and it was just fine.

As for the quality - it indeed looks cheaper and perhaps more "ugly" than Sphera, but frankly told, I have it since almost a year, using several times per week, it got some serious abuse, and it holds better than my Sphera did.

I agree also about the worse vision - it is much softer, has the lense in a single piece, and hence deforms easier than Sphera.

I used my Flow mask outdoor twice last week for some cold water dives. I preferred it to the Sphera I used so far. For me the Flow mask feels softer, especially on the top of my nose, where the Sphere always hurts me a little. I also had the feeling that the Flow mask covered more area of my face, which was good because the water was just 8C. Sucking air up seemed harder for me too, maybe that was because I was more lazy with equalising, making the nose piece stuck more and partially covering my nostrils. In the pool the mask did not work for me because the magnification seemed different from my goggles. I did two turns where my hands missed the wall completely. Outdoors this was not so much a problem for me because I do line diving with my eyes closed as much as possible.

Ok then, I want two, how do I get them? Trux ready for group order? My Sphera is leaking and I need new mask.

On the Vodka vision thing:

In Belgium at a competition in Belgium, where Eric did hist latest static National Record of 8'01" Eric privileged me borrowing his flow mask to try in 8m deep pool. In deed the mask low volume, and has an incredible ability to be crushed to an extreme small volume where my eyelids actually touch the lens at one point. Like stated above it's less sealed under the nose, but that can be compensated by lifting the headband a bit, and shave your moustache
The vodka double vision only appeared when you you did not compensate the mask for a while, when the mask starts bending around your nose bridge.

I'm waiting for my first flow mask, still having to try it for some real line diving, until than I'm a very happy sphera diver.

I think it's still a pity we don't have one manufacturer's mask designer on this forum who likes to build the ultimate freediver's deep diving mask, making two sizes big/small to fit well for those big nose wide faces, and those narrow smaller (woman and the young) faces.

Thanks Trux for you great flow mask tip!

Kars

Hi any suggestions where to get this mask in Germany (or EU) for a decent price?

My Minima broke(leaked) and I'm looking for alternatives.

*edit*
found it http://www.simones-hammerladen.de/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=516
But not easy to find as it has neither "Flow" nor "Vodka" tags in its description.

I ordered both Sphera and Flow mask and will see if one of those can beat my Minima, I really liked that mask but it was getting a little bit too rigid anyway now that I'm progressing past 60m.
