A freediving section is now in the process of being launched...
This freediving section is growing within a scuba diving club located in the Quartier latin, at the top of the Montagne Sainte Geneviève, close to the Pantheon (where the Great Men are buried)...
This scuba diving club already has a section for underwater hockey and another section dedicated to downhill swimming (nage en eaux vives), which creates very interesting synergies... After my freediving session I envisage to pop in into hockey training...
Last wednesday I organized my first static training session : we dispose of a nice little additional pool with warm water... and it was fun !
The group was constituted of :
. 2 hockeyers (they already have a good level)
. 1 66-year old experienced scuba diving instructor (MF1)
. 4 "beginners" with scuba diving experience (from N1 to N4)
Due to its geographic position, this club is very much scientifically and internationally-minded...
Among potential members of this new freediving club there are 2 female former breaststroke swimmers...
I intend to mainly focus on static training (since we are so lucky as to dispose of this nice little pool with warm water !), DNF and CNF...
I envisage to organize a freediving trip to Dahab...
DB members from all over the world are invited to visit us when they pop in in Paris... (but not all at the same time !) Trainings take place on Wednesdays evenings...
