Hello there. I don't use the word freediver as it can be taken as a competitive term. So I say I am a snorkel diver, diver being the operative word. When the water is warm enough in Sydney or Jervis Bay I dive there, but GBR islands and Bali are preferred. Planning a trip to Wakatobi or the Solomons (Uepi). I have quite a bit of experience, having dived for many years and I have never used SCUBA. If anyone wants to discuss my type of (free) diving, send a message.

How about the term "male member"? ;)
Welcome bhdiver49. Yes I enjoy that sort of snorkelling and my family do too. Although these days, for me, it usually involves spearfishing but not always. I tend to use the term snorkeller, spearo or freediver but snorkel diver sounds good to me :)

There are quite a few forum members in NSW (checkout the Buddies area of the forum, under the Oz region ;) ). Some of the USA forum members were not familiar with NSW & New South Wales.
Please add your country to your profile, it makes it much easier to answer questions and understand replies.
