New spearfishing fins?

Hi, last time I looked at spearing fins, the clear Omer Ice was state-of-the art:

Since then it reached V3 and has apparently now disappeared from Omersub's product line entirely - probably due to the infamous breaking blades - pity I was hoping they would have worked that out by now.

Anyway, there are lots of new fins around, including from interesting looking ones from Omersub (camo and/or carbon) and Seacsub (new longer blades, different colours and good prices) and no doubt from the others such as Beauchat, Picasso, etc. Anybody purchased new spearing fins in the last year or two? What did you get and what do you think of them?

I LOVE my fins4u pure carbons with pathos footpockets. See review on my blog.

I noticed that they have a new see-through FG blade option, if you liked the Ice idea that "invisible is the best camouflage".

Thumbs up for the pathos footpockets. I've got the leaderfin algae,I used to have the standard leaderfin pockets,but have now changed to pathos,and it's a completely different pair of fins. Much more responsive and feels faster in some way. So if you haven't got very wide feet,go for the pathos. The cool bit is that you can heat them up and shape them to fit your feet better aswell. I don't know if you can do this with other brands,but it definitely didn't work with the standard leaderfin rubberpockets. Only minus is they are glued,so if you snap a blade,you need a whole new fin.

hi just stepped up from the standard style poly fins,beauchat, changing the blades to carbon black tech and the difference is amazing. I have become friends with the shop owner and passing through I stopped to say hello and he was in the process of fitting some new carbon blades purchased off the internet for a guy who was now on his third pair as the others broke.. what was he doing to go through so many in a short space of time? Quite simply getting the cheapest ones, affordability always a consideration, but the quality or lack of was clear to see!! The blades were supposed to be black but all over them you could see through patches and there were dimples and grooves in the surface. Favourite saying, quality is not achieved by accident!! The prices of carbon fins is debatably high but the difference is certainly worth the investment, just if it is possible take the time to goto a shop to see personally what you are buying or only buy online from good renowned stores or the top companies, cressi, Picasso etc etc

I have the very Seacsub fins that you posted, the shout S900 which are the intermediate blades. I love them, foot pockets are really comfortable and the sizing is spot on. I am a Uk 12, euro 47 and the sizing charts are dead on, which as we know, is not always the case. They move you through the water effortlessly although having said that I can not make a comparison to other long fins, only scuba so the performance increase was inevitable I guess They seem to be good all rounders as well, as happy on the surface as under and provide great progress against current. Also when you put some serious effort in for the "turbo boost" you don't loose any energy. What you put in, you get out and there is no delayed reaction. I am tall and weigh about 14 stone and do a fair bit of cycling and they seem to suit my legs which I think is the key, different strokes for different folks Great fins, well I like them anyway

I got mine last summer and love them. The soft rails of the Pathose pockets let the blade flex all the way up to the foot pocket.

I have the medium stiffness, but after I bought mine, he came out with the "hybrid soft" and friends tell me they are even better.

The name is misleading. The first half of the blade is stiff, and then the last half is very soft. This makes for easy finning on the surface or slowly cruising underwater, but then if you are trying to come off a deep bottom and really want power, the upper stiff half kicks in.
