It is already mentioned in another thread but I want to remember that Tom Sietas will start a new attempt to break the static WR tonight live on TV.

It is on ARD at 20.15 during a show ("Die grosse Show der Naturwunder)".

Good Luck

is there an online feed of this TV channel that we could watch? any feedback will be appreciated!

No there isn't. But perhaps you can see it via the Astra-satellite (ARD is also called "Das Erste")

I don't get it, Tom broke the static record a few days ago with 9'08".... Is this show a separate event?

Tom broke the record last week on monday, there he did a 9:08. Last saturday was the recording for the show of tonight. Read this for more explanation

Edit: so yes, the result is already known. Or maybe Tom made a pact with AIDA to keep the record he did last saturday as a secret... But that would be stupid. AIDA put the new world record announcement on their site AFTER the recording of the show.

And I just found ARD on my TV! So I guess I'm gonna watch something in 45 minutes... I'll let you know the result. Glennv promised to tape it and put it online...

Don't know. Perhaps it is this inofficial (?) record from a few days ago and it is pubished this evening during the show as a recording. Or perhaps this event a few days ago was only some kind of warm-up.

We will see.

Heh, watching it now.
Oh? Something about sharks!

The subject now is muscles... I think Tom will show up in 10 minutes. He is preparing behind the scene.

Only 15 minutes to go and no tom yet. Maybe he makes a very fast 10 minute static in 4 min.... :t

Edit: Oh wait, the program will go on until 21:45. So he can still do a 35 min static... Good for him!

Seeing with the tongue now. They hooked up a camera to a field of electrodes, put that on the tongue of a blind man and he can now 'see' the picture...

All waiting for Tom...
