Well as the subject says, I'm new to freediving. I've been scuba diving for a couple of years now, and snorkelling for about 5. After reading various articles in Dive magazine, seeing stuff on TV, and watching The Big Blue on DVD, I've decided to try freediving.
Is there anyone here in the north west of England (more specifically near Manchester)? Or does anybody know of anywhere in the region suitable for freediving practice? I'm aware of the lakes and flooded quarries used as dive centres, such as Capernwray, but doubt they would be willing to allow me to use their facilities to freedive.
