Im relatively new to the sport and have only been spearfishing for about a year or so. I've been diving with mates when they are free but would like to go a lot more often and develop my skills safely!
Are there any groups I can join that are happy to take new people or is there anyone happy to go for a dive ?

Cape town South Africa? It would probably be worth you posting in the Buddies->Region area of this forum too, to target divers in your area who are looking for dive buddies. Also, we used to invite new members to introduce themselves and interests in the "Introductions and Greets" area of the forum.
