ok its time to get your brag books ready...

took a guy to the pool today for basic first time breath hold experience, dynamic n/f and w/f
first time, no breathe up... 50m dynamic no fins... i was following him on the surface with fins and could hardly keep up...

He completed it no sweat.. ( i was sweating.. is this guy good or what?) What do you say - potential? 2min static on 2nd attempt?

From what I have seen, people who have a background in sports such as swimming or running tend to be good at dynamic, while static has more to do with natural ability and apnea training. Several times I have seen a newbie freediver do a long dynamic easily on the first attempt. Their static times were much shorter than I expected from their dynamic performance.

This is an incentive for me to keep fit...

i think this Iranian guy has lots of potential.. now he wants to join me on my trip to Hawaii to the PFD clinic... if he can get a visa. It will be interesting to see him in action after some real coaching from Kirk.
