Hello,

I'm relatively new to the sport and would like to gather a gang to train and plan some dives, nothing too serious but would be nice to have semi-regular gang hitting the sea/pool.

I'm Dublin based, without car but nice and near to the DART. Based in South Dublin, have dived mostly in Howth and Dalkey so far.

Hit me up and let's get in the water :)

Great to hear from from you Derick,

Where do you usually dive?

That sounds good, once lock-down is over let's try to get into the water and see what we can see/find.

I have done a small bit of diving on th e east coast and around Rush, but the large amount of my diving in Ireland has been done on the east coast from the scubawest centre.
It would be great to get a bit of diving done after the lock down alright.

How do you find the visibility on the east coast lads? I walk a lot around Howth, but the water generally looks really cloudy, with no more than a metre or two of visibility

For what I could gather you are about right. I've been looking at the water myself. I use to do spearfishing almost every weekend back in Portugal but this was a good few years ago. Just trying to get back into it. Only waiting for the wetsuit to arrive. Where are you based?

Hey, I'm looking for dive buddies too. I'm in South Dublin, near Sandyford.
I did a free-diving course in Cornwall last summer, bought all the stuff and haven't touched it since, so I'm still a massive noob.

How's things, based in Dublin just woke up 2 weeks ago with an urge to start spearfishing, just taught myself how to swim in Portmarnock so I'd be keen to meet up with others to get the lay of the land.

I'm going to take it easy for awhile until I master the swimming but always up for doing some rece work for future dives.
