Hi guys,
Newbie here, I've been looking around the forum for a few weeks learning a lot of stuff, it's fantastic the amount of info on here.
I live in North Devon, so I'm interested in this area mainly, I know the vis isn't great round here a lot of the time, but I've seen the water quite clear plenty of times.
I've done a lot of snorkelling and shallow diving before, but never below 5meters and never to hunt!
I like being in the sea, I like hunting/shooting on land and I like fishing so it seems inevitable I should get a spear gun
I am planning on getting in the water a bit in the near future (time dependant) and getting used to breath holding and going down a few meters with weights etc, maybe try and find a few fish/crabs. Then when I'm confident I'll take a spear gun.
It would be good to hear from a few locals, I've seen a few threads on here about North Devon, I'll go through them and maybe bump a few to update them.
I see the sea most days so I'll keep an eye on the conditions and get in there when it clears up a bit.
Anyway, great forum guys and gals, very helpful! I shall be learning a lot more from here I'm sure!
Thanks
Wurz
