No more, up to $800, duty free gear imports for U.S. divers

Just had to pay an additional $32 (email from DHL) for Leaderfins blades, in addition to the $43 for shipping, For a total of $75 to get it to my $93 blades to me.
Lucky me, my blades where shipped two days after the exemption was suspended. It's still in effect for travelers though.

Sorry, I wasn't too clear.
Up until the end of August, if you ordered something from outside the U.S. to be shipped, there were no import fees (tariffs). That's been suspended. But, if you travel to another country, you can still bring back up to $800 worth of goods with paying any fees.

I have experienced buying things outside my country and bringing them back, not dive gear, and what I do is use it and ensure it looks used, and that way there is no paying of any fees; you simply say you took it out with you if they ask, but they never ask.
