Hey All!

My name's Aaron and I'm from Northern California, more specifically, near Marysville. I'm new to this place and fairly new to free diving and under water hunting. I'm addicted, that's the truth of it and I am anxious to learn more, and to do more! Hope y'all are in good health and enjoying life and I look forward to being a member here, thanks.

Welcome to Deeperblue! Are you in an area where hunting stripers is permitted? I heard they opened the fishery for spearing not too long ago.

I do, though it's a bit of a subject of controversy amongst local fisherman. I'd like to try it though, and hoping to purchase my first speargun here real soon.

Welcome! Hopefully all the striped bass confusion in Sacramento will be straightened out over time. I know a group of guys who are pushing for lighter laws on the subject.

Anywyas this is a great place to make new friends, good luck out there as the water forecast is looking great this week.

I applaud the decision to open the fishery to spearfishing. It's not often that the laws relax enough to allow something like that to happen.
