North of Scotland

Hello all, I am from lossiemouth up in the north of Scotland, I am fairly new to freediving, although I have a good bit of snorkeling experience and a little bit of scuba. Interested in both freediving and spearfishing. I don't really have any deep dives under my belt yet but I have hit a 3 min max dry static, haven't tried in the pool yet (lifeguards can be a bit funny about people floating face down in their pool.)

Looking for buddies in the area, if anybody is around please let me know.

Greetings! What kind of wetsuit do you use in your area? North Scotland seems like it'd be cold. Then again, California waters seem like they should be warm, but are not.

Hey there, I used to have a cheap 5mm surfing suit, which only really served to stave of the hypothermia, lol. I've recently gone all out and got myself a 7mm closed cell spearo suit from spetton, which is pretty toasty. If it's too warm or if I'm going to be out of the water a lot (sailing, kayaking etc) I just use the bottom half of the suit and a rashie on top, which seems to work quite well.

Sounds a bit like what I used to do. I cobbled together enough of a suit so that the water was bearable. I ended up buying a 5mm jacket and farmer john. It was well worth it.
