I'm down at the end of next week for a few days with Daf - from my obsessive scouring of internet-based weather stations, it looks like the wind is only going to get worse over the weekend - XC Weather is showing gusts of over 40mph on both Saturday and Sunday with heavy rain both days - sounds rubbish!
Saying, that, it's calming down a lot by Monday and switching to light Westerlys so fingers crossed, it'll will be a little better by then end of the week - next weekend looks good.
Surprised to see Ian say that the North coast is brown, it seems to have been blowing Southerlys all week - the water at Ty Coch has been like a mill pond!

Oooops forgot just got out it was #*^%€¥+> saw the end of 45 once I think and a crab !12 Oc on vyper. Sheltered spot on south .winds blowing SW . still don't know where to try?going out at day light to try on high will let you know ???

I'm watching the weather carefully, got a month off work before starting a new job end of may. Was hoping to have been out by now, but nature says a big no - typical lol
Did my ADAS 2 down in Cornwall last week. Vis was so bad we spent most of the time at a quarry Spot. Newquay area was 0.5m
Just back from Yorkshire where I had hoped to catch big cod from my yak, but too windy.... But typically vis looked amazing, but didn't have my gear!
Looking forward to my first n Wales trip. I reckon in 2 weeks time. High pressure mid week

I'd go with position 2, I think you want the gun in the lower portion of the picture as often the gun is in or on the weed which you dont want to see too much of, and I find the fish are usually level with or above you. Also, I'd suggest setting the camera to narrow mode, or else the fish look really small and far away, unless you have amazing visibility and then you might want a wider view just to take in the scene.
