Hi there
I live in the UK and am taking a 3 month trip from San Diego down through Mexico and into Guatamala, El Salvador, Costa Rico and Belize (etc etc).
I currently own some of the more basic gear like mask, snorkle, boots and fins but after hearing about the cost of hiring the rest in central america and the fact that I'm probably going to do my Divemasters when I return I was looking into maybe buying the rest of my gear. (ie BC, regs etc)

I was just wondering where it'd be best (or cheapest) to purchase that stuff, most things in the US are the same in UK pounds as the are in dollars (GBP£40 in the UK, US$40 in the US) is that a similar trend with diving gear?

How about the prices in mexico, Belize etc? if anyone know's it'd be a great help.

thanks for your advice,
Damo
