take some freshly caught norwegian cod (these from hvalstad outside oslo). Preferably during the cold period of the year so you'll be REALLY hungry and cold when you get out. Cut out the fillets, dip in beat egg, dip in white flour, fry in butter.
Fry the eggs you dipped the fillets in as a nice side.
Make a grilled sandwich with an obcene amount of cheese. The really dary will fry the sandwich in the pan with butter so it gets soaked in melted butter.
Top everything with some mayonaise or norwegian 'ekte remoulade'.
Wash everything down with some bottles of good beer.

Thats a really good recipie- we do a very similar one down here in NZ- We just add a pinch of lemon pepper and finley chopped parsley to the flour.
Yum- I feel like fresh fish now- I might just have to go for a dive after work,

Takeshi are you fan of the TV program by any chance or is it your real name?

fish looks good.. might try that next time I visit Norway for some Cod..:p

takeshi kovacs is the name of the ultra cool main character in some cyberpunk books I like. I guess I'm hoping that the name rubs of.

Takeshi my friend...have you ever been to chippy in Abbeydale Road, Sheffield? Or is this just a coincidence ?
Mind you, it would not be the first time in history that revolutionary things have been independently invented. :D
I would suggest wrapping everything in Sun. Or, if you are really posh, Daily Telegraph.

:) :) You know it hit me the other day that should they use normal wrapping they would actually lose business.

On the other hand one needs to read the news somehow. Beer is very helpful in that.
