It turns out that the ear infection after that cold I had, may not have been just an ear infection. I had to see an ENT and am currently waiting to get a CT scan to rule out any other potential problems. Plus, I'm on meds to prevent dizzy spells, and the ENT thinks I may have Meniere's Syndrome. So, I really don't know where I stand with diving at all now, because I know that it would be dangerous to have a dizzy spell under water, however, the meds keep me stable...so, I'm a bit stuck at the moment.
Either way, I'm going to at least try and continue my dry land apnea sessions; does anyone know if this could be detrimental to Meniere's in any way? Not looking for medical advice, just opinions to take on board...and I'm not certain if I asked the ENT if he'd know one way or the other anyway, but I don't get to see him until September again. Obviously when I start doing the apnea I can keep track of anything that feels wrong, just in case.
On a good note though, I finished my dissertation yesterday :friday, after much hair pulling :head
I will be around the forum, probably mostly to keep track of apnea improvements, suggestions etc...since I don't want to do anything that would be dangerous due to medical problems.
