Oceanic F10 - doesn't register anymore deeper than 20m

hi, after 2 years my Oceanic F10 is giving up on me. All looks fine, untill you dive below more or less 20m. Then the watch switches back from freediving mode to normal mode. The depth nor the dive time get registered. When i look at the watch under water, it gets blank before it switches to normal mode again.

I have replaced the battery myself, the way it's supposed to be (yes i know you have to send your watch to the manufacturer but who on earth does that, even more when you're diving on a remote island where should you send it to?) can that be the reason? I don't think water got in it, cause all other fuctions work fine.

What the hell can be wrong?
