Okanagan Carp

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
10 carp today, 8 on the stringer.

Sure they are, but burbot, like all other Gadidae family spesies, prefer chill water and in summer time moves to deeper spots (max. depth of those lakes over 500 ft) with lower temperature.

Gadidae is a family of marine fish including the cod, whiting and haddock. I believe that what you meant to say is that burbot are in the order Gadiformes, and are the only freshwater Gadiform (cod-like) fish. Burbot is in the family Lotidae.

just back from the lake, helluva storm trolled through, challenging conditions to dive in, but saw six, wacked 3. turning out to be a good season.... the Riffe #B is a carp slaying monster.

I was wondering if you know of some good areas in okanagan lake to spear burbot, I live on the lake but don't know where to go?
