Old Man Dave Cider!

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Hey Jonny - care to share the rabbit stew recipe mate - I have a few rabbits in the freezer I want to cook up - mixed results so far...

Sure, but i'm no expert! i just browned the meat in large chunks, then added it so the stew pot with carrot, leak, purple onion and a slighly fried white onion. + oxo chicken stock and a veggie stock. then add the cider. stew for 4 hour on medium heat. oh yes and i added some herbs but i just grabbed what i had, not sure what lol.
makes a good dinner for £2.50 for the meat!

Yeah I would also be interested in the recipie. Blasted a couple recently at the request of my father. They were turning the lawn into a real mess.
 
Getting back to the Old Man Dave cider!
The demijohns are still furiously bubbling away - my book tells me this first fermentation stage should take 3-4 days. So hopefully the juice will quieten down very soon?
 
Well it that time of year again, although the apples are a bit earlier this year.
We are going for another 5 gallons tomorrow....
