Hey Giorgio...

I'm comparing the attitude to the time when the spearfishing was more or less the leading freediving discipline in CMAS. Never said they're willing to drop it for good... :)
I haven't talked to our guy in the spearfishing committee for few months already, so I don't have the new rules. I know you keep close contact with Luciano Cottu. You got a copy?

UWH maybe?

How about Underwater Hockey as an olympic sport? Olympic organizers could bill it alongside water polo. Obviously you'd need underwater cameras, etc.

Well, apnea is not really CMAS, is it (depends on definition, of course)? UW hockey (and possibly its cousin UW rugby) would definitely fit in, so I'd be fine in agitating for its place to IOC, without crying AIDA or CMAS.

Friend mine, You must know little but essential things:
1- the CIO recognizes only one International Federation for every sport discipline. 2- the apnea is already a discipline recognized from the CIO but not ago part of the Olympic program, thanks to the CMAS.
3- the CIO hardly has (17/may/04) deliberated as it can be approached Olympic Games, and the news is not good poichè is much difficult one.
4- the apnea of the CMAS comprises a speed contest that comes carried out in the program of Finswimming (50 mt), dynamics and the JB. Hour if you have the patience to go to read charter to you dl CIO and of every National Olympic Committee you will comprise as your thoughts are alone dreams.
