Omer camera mount - piece of crap, dont buy

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

I just wanted to share how big piece of crap this thing is, or actually how big piece of crap it WAS.

Be your guess, my camera was sitting on it. RIP Gitup Git2.

Short story, I have a nice beach to enter from the rock side.

Best and easiest thing to do is to put the spear on a buoy (I allign it on 2 sharkclips from both sides so it hangs horizontally), drop weight belt on a line and let it float nicely and calmly and go enter.
Not today, this piece of crap disconected from the butt when I was preparing to enter and the camera gone. Not found.

1 less customer and I was about to buy another spear from omer. Not anymore.

Yes, I am pissed, becouse I live in damn remote location and getting another camera is damn hassle.

That's a pity- I used one for years on an ET and thought it was a solid bit of kit.
