Can I patch this PVC buoy with a bicycle puncture repair kit or something?

No but the glue that is used for PVC Guttering and waste pipe works a treat. You'll need to find a small piece of PVC to use as a patch obviously, I found an old beach ball on the beach to do mine.

isn't the stuff punture repair kits PVC glue?

I was thinking for rubber tyres but it sounds like you are thinking a PVC puncture kit in which case yes I guess so

I've just realised there is a difference lol. I want a PVC puncture repair kit then... not a vulcanised rubber bicycle puncture repair kit.

Or a plumber with the PVC glue, I was lucky and found some in the garage

They sell tubes of pvc glue at the big cheapo auto store here called Biltema... bit like halfords. I'll give that a go... just need a beachball to sacrifice.

Hi Atomic,

.....I repaired my float many times with "Liquid Rubber" dunno if it exist over there...
But I think that a thick layer of Mastic (what we call silicone) will do the job.....

Everything is in foreign here lol. I know mastic... but it doesn't seem so well suited to something inflatable. I'm gonna get some PVC glue later and do a patching job and see how that goes. If it all goes wrong then I'll keep the mastic in mind.

i used a kayak repair kot to repair mine, but mine is riffe

Got the PVC glue and fixed it in 2 mins. It was a bit of an accident actually... I found a piece of plastic in the pack of glue that I thought was PVC and thought it would make a great patch... WRONG! the patch peeled off and the glue underneath made a superb patch itself as I put tons on. Worked a treat tho and willholdat least until I get the right sized boat fender to fit the sleeve.
