yup, same gulf !

20-30 knot winds right now, supposed to be 6-9 foot waves just offshore. We only had 3-6 footers but with normally calm waters, the heavy surged smashed me on the bottom when I was at 9 meters... Nasty-Had to crawl ashore.
 
oh ok i see. you were shore diving. yup..with the sand stroms it can get nastY.
