Omer UP-X1 Umberto Pelizzari Freediving Computer

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I don't think Omer is lying to it's customers, the carbon is there, but just as a thin aesthetic layer.
Personally I have had the impression the watch was made out of solid carbon fibre.
But I think it could/should be made stronger.

I just got this watch (the rechargable one UP-X1R) - I was super excited. Getting it out of the box all looked good. Plugged it in, charged it up, downloaded all the software - all good. Went to try and enter my information and one of the buttons doesn't work!! Argh. I have 25 days before I head back to my isolated little island in the South Atlantic. Honestly I am beginning to wish that I had gone with the Cressi Drake or the Oceanic F10... Hope OMER and/or the Amazon re-seller change my mind before I abandon OMER gear for good...

I am sorry to hear that I can imagine how frustrating that must be. If you decide to get another one consider the Drake instead. Got mine a few weeks ago and I am super satisfied.

Could someone tell me what does that "Open" arrow on the chest strap mean? Is it for battery replacement inside the strap? If so, how do I know the battery is dead? The manual didn't say anything about it. Thanks!
