sorry to disagree, my friend.

i've tried this weak, pale drink you canadians sell as coffee. that wouldn't even qualify as weak tea.

if you take a cup of coffee you should not be able to see the bottom of the cup.

warmest regards,

roland

ps: no offence ;)

a little italian espresso can't spoil a freedivers day...
I have to remind you of this :p

Signora MOLINARI inspects the plates on the
table.

MAMMA MOLINARI
(suspiciously)
What have you been eating?

ENZO
Coffee only, I'm diving tomorrow.
You remember little Jacques, Jacques
Mayol...

JACQUES
(timidly)
Madame...

ENZO
... And his friend, Johana...

Signora MOLINARI nods grudgingly.

WAITER
(arriving proudly)
Spaghetti del mare!

Dead silence.

isnt it Tim Horton? (o)
i think i saw one in Canada.. it's like a Caracas coffee shop in Spain (except the Spanish ones are nicer)
:D

The battle's on Roland! Obviously you got a bad cup :(
Tim Horton's, for those never in Canada, is a coffee/donut shop that has become so prolific here that is actually part of the culture. They are everywhere and are always busy.
Also referred to as 'THC' ;)
Cheers,
Erik Y.

..and they sell coffee in a paper cup with a lid and a straw?

man, you can't be serious.

i'm austrian (originally) and claim to be reasonably well aware what proper coffee is given my countries coffee house tradition. and, since my girlfriend is italian, my awareness surely hasn't declined.

so, to all you poor unenlightened creatures out there this is what you do:

1. if it comes in a plastic cup ignore it
2. if it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare ignore it
3. if you see the bottom of the cup ignore it
4. if you tell the waiter that this is crap coffee and he doesn't immediately kill you, ignore it

just some of the basics...

cheers,

roland

ps: nothing wrong with THC, though...

Have at you :ko !!
It's in paper cups, it's quite strong for cofee (not espresso) and you can't see the bottom :p
Like I said, you got a bad dose of THC from a crooked dealer ;)

Cheers amigo,
Erik Y.

funny that you mention this. she tells me the same thing also from time to time.... rofl

What a morning, got in the water by 6am and swam out to the shallow little reef off the beach. Water was like glass and temp had to be in the 80’s (although vis was only about 20’). I had been in the water about 15 min, I took a breath, dove to the bottom, held on to a small rock outcropping and just stayed there motionless. About 10 seconds later 5 foot tarpon swims up from behind me and pass within inches of me, circles me once and disappears into the haze. I truly believe that this is the same tarpon I see just about every time I am in this area. Each time I see him he comes closer and today was the closest yet. If I has just put my elbow out I would have touched him. I never get tired of moments like that. Yesterday I saw him briefly in the haze underneath me, but I also got to “play” with a 4’ barracuda that was following me into the beach.

Have a nice weekend and happy fathers day to all you dads out there, cant wait till my daughter is old enough to enjoy these mornings.

greetings,

had a totally wicked full moon dive 2 days ago. i met with some friends at 10pm and was peasently surprised by the complete lack of wind and waves. just that shiny dark surface stretching over to the saudi mainland with an almost full moon hovering over the mountains. wicked panorama.
diving was excellent as well. just breathing face down, looking into the dark water and parts of the reef in black and white (grey) almost put me to sleep.
lying in the sand at the bottom, looking up through 15-20m of water and taking in the reflections of the moon on the surface while listening to the amazing sounds under water was unbelievably blissful.

everyone got out of the water with this stupid grin...

wicked!

roland

ps: anyone had a good day in the office? hehe. ;)

And I'm studying for stupid tests inestead. :waterwork.

I hope you pay attention to the lion fish at night, they could be a death trap...
