Thanks for the direct to the article, Erik. It pretty much goes over everything I've heard about the guy, and is pretty telling about the hype and stupidity that is infecting the sport. Makes you want to go take an Instructor course from the guy, huh? :hmm

Wow, that was pretty negative. :duh I'd never heard much besides Pipin's name, but it sure sounds like he's the WWF of freediving. Pity that that kind of behaviour goes on, but I suppose its inevitable in any human endeavour. This ought to serve as a warning to anybody wanting to associate with the infamous Pipin.
 
I don't know that he's WWF material, but he sure sounds and seems to fit the Don King mold of self promotion. My dislike of him stems from his acting like the Ocean revolves around him. That and his freediving to a depth and taking a hit from a tank and going deeper?, that's called SCUBA diving. :hmm
