Blue View Divers is looking for a short term Chinese-speaking PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) with fluent English to join our friendly international team on the beautiful island of Koh Phi Phi for the peak season.
As a PADI 5★ Eco Centre, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, small groups, high-quality diver education and a genuine commitment to marine conservation. If you are passionate about teaching, love working with people and want to be part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
We welcome both experienced instructors and newly qualified OWSIs. Mentoring and support are available for the right candidate.

Our dive centre is located in a peaceful area outside the main town therefore we operate as a mostly paper-free, online business, so there are not usually any retail shop sales shifts required for this position.
If you have your own Mandarin-speaking client base or generate your own bookings, we offer acommission structure. Several members of our multilingual team, including our Spanish and Portuguese instructors, bring repeat guests and referrals to Blue View Divers under agreed commission arrangements, and we welcome instructors who have built their own network of clients.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the maturity and professionalism to prioritise the needs of the business, work well under pressure and contribute positively to our close-knit team.

Position Details
- Position: Full-time PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
- Minimum Commitment: 3 months (Nov – Dec – Jan) with option to extend
- Location: Koh Phi Phi, Thailand
- Start Date: Late Oct – Early Nov
About the Role
You will teach and supervise a variety of PADI programs including:
- Discover Scuba Diving
- Open Water Diver
- Advanced Open Water
- Rescue Diver
- Scuba Reviews
- Guided fun dives
- Private snorkelling experiences
There are also opportunities to assist with:
- Underwater photography
- Social Media Content Creation for your market
- AWARE speciality courses
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Current PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
- Fluent Chinese and English
- Professional, friendly and enthusiastic personality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong commitment to safety and PADI standards
- Positive attitude and team player
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules
- Full professional insurance
- Complete set of personal dive equipment including torch.
Preferred (but not essential)
- Underwater photography skills
- AWARE Instructor ratings (or willingness to obtain them)
