I'm heading to Panama this January and I would love recommendations on where to go. I'm definitely going to Coiba but beyond that I'm not sure where else to go-- San Blas? Las Perlas? Bocas? Portobello? Any recommendations?
Also, any guide recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you!

Panama was awesome. I went freediving off Isla Coiba. Water visibility was variable but a lot of life- big schools of fish, rays, sharks. The country overall was a lot of fun to explore.

The Coiba Islands of Panama are the Galapagos Islands of Central America, but not as remote. The link is a map of the best dive spots in the Gulf of Chriqui.

Panama is great! I lived there for 3 years. However, nowadays they are among the most strict country with the lockdown due to Covid. Hope this changes soon....
