Hey ive not posted in a while, new sports taken over a bit.

I was wondering about what sports give partciauler advantage in terms of freediving.

Ive recently taken up mountainbiking as a serious part time, and am already noticing my self getting sutibly fitter. But apart from the obvious areobic excercise does it offer any specific to this wonderful undertaken of ours.

Is their any sport which does offer an advantge.

Throught reading journals and speaking to experts i understand that apart from areobic excersise, doing other unrelated sports very rairly show a direct increase in performance of any other sport.

Was hoping someone from the freedicing comunity could give me some help on this little one?

Cheers guys

Alistair

finswimming as a competitor in a strong team.
it helps a lot, better technique finswimming technique and strong legs

In my opinion the best freediver from another sport would be a world class 200m runner, or a 50m sprint swimmer. Any sprint exercise which lasts for 20 seconds would equal a good freediver, since the total energy demand of a 20 second max-out exercise is about the same as a 3-minute freedive.
