Further to the great advice that you've already gotten, what you do in a PFI class has no bearing on anybody else. In other words, you won't be holding anybody back, no matter that. Everybody has an opportunity to perform to their full potential. Having said that, as mentioned by others, based on my limited experience, your current ability is probably at or better than average for the typical intermediate student.

If it makes you feel any better I took that class with a lot of scuba experience but almost none freediving. I did a static over 5 min in the pool but couldn't learn to frenzel to save my life! I ended up going down feet first on the descent line just to get a feel for going to depth; talk about frustrating!
A week after I got back the frenzel finally clicked. Putting together what I had learned form class I was able to go over 60' and hang out for 30 seconds just watching the fish. More importantly I was able to go back a few weeks later and bring back a couple of those snapper for a date with my grill. Most importantly I was able to do all of this safely and with a buddy!

OMFG. Completed the training yesterday. From a guy who didn't know how to swim in 2001, literally this is the highest point in my life. That was the best thing I've ever taken. I'm sore from bottom of my feet all the way to the neck, but I'm still smiling from ear to ear. The instructors provided positive encouragement all the time and NOT the boot camp drill sergeant type.
I didn't extend my PB too much, my static went to 3:42-ish, and I hit my 15m plate, so that added maybe 4ft from my 45ft PB before due to equalizing issue. I didn't use my mono except for the 1st day in the supremely crowded pool and had to relearn how to use bifin again in 2 days after 2 years straight using mono; that last second equipment change may have contributed to uneasiness, unfortunately. The smallest the local freedive store has is about 1 footpocket size too big, so I also had to fight that on day 2.
I finally just went straight to dolphin kick, but I just sucked at 1 leg entry portion (with mono you need to do double leg entry). But man, I love the rescue portion. I felt like an idiot diving for the past 4 years without knowing all these things. And since I'm local, it's also amazing to meet the other solo diver guys who couldn't find a buddy to dive with, and now we'll be buddies in our future dives. Worth every single penny.
