Phillipines - Going to Cebu and maybe Siragao Island. Any recommendation where to rent gear? like weights + speargun? if possible. and Spots to go?

If you are going to rent a gun, I would say your only option is one of the dive shops. Although I have not gone through them, I understand they can provide all of that, my only thought is they might be a little more expensive than a local fisherman with a boat, but he wont have gear.

I recently traveled to Cebu, but did not dive there, and from there Panglao Island, and Siquijor Island, and did dive in those places. But I carry my own gear, and gun. I use a small two band gun that I disassemble for travel. I can add that the shore dive locations I did were fished out, as I have found most of the Philippines are, and in fact, most of Asia is. So offshore in a boat is probably the best option.
