Hi guys!

I'd like to know what's the physiology behind of a good sleep in terms of optimal performance in freediving. I have definitively experienced that like many of you. When I get a good sleep I flat out at 10 m., whereas with proper sleep (7-8 h) I dive easily down to 30 m.

Regards, gerard.

A very interesting question, Gerard.
I will not venture guessing since I can think of a dozen minor reasons but not even one vindictive major reason.

If you are interested enough, you should research on the net (groups.google.com etc.) about why humans need to sleep at all, and than imply that to freediving.

Update us if you find anything interesting.
