Picasso Black Team fins

Hi Chefkoch,

The picasso blacklines are a good fin, and quite stiff, stiffer then the cressis. For your friend who is after some stiff fins I would recommend the plastic Omer Millenium Competitions. The blade is slightly wider and it seems a bit stiffer then the Picassos. The response is really good for a plastic fin. I was used to carbons and they broke right before a freediving competition so I ended up borrowing the plastic Omers off a friend. They were great and did dives down to 61m with them.

For bigger divers or those with strong legs would definitely reccomend the Omer competitions, followed by the Picasso's.
The Cressi's are OK but not as stiff. The Black Esclapez fin should be avoided !
The footpocket is so soft it gives when you try and kick with them ?!

The Omer & Picasso footpockets are both really solid, no give at all.

Cheers,
Wal

Hey Wal,

Are the OMER and Sporasub footpockets basically the same? I've heard that you can interchange Sporasub PURE Blades into the OMER pocket. If this is so, I'm assuming I could use an OMER competition blade in a Sporasub footpocket. Thanks

Aubie,

I have a size 9D foot. With my Picasso's, I wear only a lycra sock. Thus, an 8 1/2 foot with 2mm socks should be fine.

For my Sporasub Pures, I wear 2mm socks as the footpockets are a little bigger than the Picassos.

Hope that helps,

Scott

That's exactly what I needed to know, thanks a bunch!! I hope to soon get a chance to come down and dive with you guys, especially if you get up into the panhandle anytime.

Can you answer w3ac'c question because I'm thinking about also getting a set of Sporasub Elite footpockets?

Charlie

Aubie,

I have no experience with Omer fins so I cannot answer.
