Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) with a Picasso Century? I noticed Dive Inn had them at a really good price. Just looking to try one of those "Euro guns."

A little secret

The Asegai is virtually identacle to the Century except for the wishbone and bands.

I own a 75cm Asegai and the very first time I went out with it I nailed 3 really nice black rockfish off the Oregon coast.

Picasso makes excellent spearguns

Don't forget that you can order through our online dive shop at the link below my signature... :D

EURO GUN

Watch out CJN,
Whats all your buddies going to think when you show up at the rigs w/ one of those girlie euro guns? Your JBL gonna get jelous;)

Cobia & Euros

I don't know about cobia being relieved about the use of Euro guns, at least here in south FL they're not. We got 2 on Sunday. They were babies though (30 & 35 lbs). A couple weeks ago a friend of mine while diving on my boat got a 62 pounder. Other notable size cobia taken in the past couple of years in Palm Beach by freedivers using Euro guns include 60, 55, 50, 48, and 45 lbs. All these fish were taken with 110 cm to 130 cm sized guns. I got a 40 pounder this past summer with a 90 cm Euro gun while scouting for the Nationals.

JBL

my JBL is just like travelers checks,

I never leave home without it.

As far as the Euro gun, I will use it mostly for kingfish and spanish. Ling and amberjacks still require my good ole JBL gulf mag and an icepick.

Can you get threaded shafts for a Picasso?

fame

Looks like I will forever be known for that "girlie Euro gun" wise crack. Who knows, it may even surpass my 2001 Sugar Bowl champion status.

Only in these circles, anyway

Hi all....
Well I dive with a 75cm picasso century carbon most of the time, none of those tree trunks for me! (plus im in the UK, less big fish.. less vis)
I LOVE the gun, before it I had a 75cm Beauchat which I thought was nice but now I have a comparison I wouldnt turn back, the guns accurate and powerful (20mm bands) light and easy to track in the water (carbon fibre), and it just feels nice to use. The only thing I will say about it is the trigger mechanism doesnt seem as good as the beauchat but Ive had no problems with it and Im shooting more accurately. It cost me about £80 here in the UK, what other picassos are there at dive inn? I need a little gun and a big mother!
Anyway good luck
Joe
