I learned something the other day which relates to our pursuits here. In PFD courses Kirk showed us that being fully hydrated gives our blood optimum Oxygen carrying capabilities. Like anything though I think you can do too much of it. I'll spare you the events that led to this realization but if you drink so much water that you're peeing very frequently I think you are washing out alot of valuable energy of some sort. Sugars, Glycogen..ask an excersize Physiologist. I did this recently, washed away too much of something by over hydrating and then proceeded to run through a normal/hard workout. I was weakened considerably. In the future I'm going to hydrated just to the right point and then back off so as not to wash away that valuable something. (prana)

I'm hardly an expert, but its worth pointing out that the body will adjust (within reason) to different levels of hydration. Most people (in the general population) are cronically under hydrated and if they suddenly correct that they will find themselves urinating much more frequently until the body has adjusted. I experienced this myself, but after a week or two things sorted themselves out.

If you were already at the "proper" hydration level, however, then I would imagine that you could be right about the adverse affects of over-doing it.
