I consider this article in the September 1979 issue of "Skin Diver" magazine by George Cozens to be one of the greatest ever written as a general overview of pneumatic spearguns. Titled "Pneumatic Spearguns: what they are and how they work" it is well worth reading today and I have scanned and cleaned up the old pages for their presentation here. This article stimulated my own interest in learning even more; note the range of pneumatic guns available back then, some of which are still with us today. Sadly others have long since disappeared. The late seventies was the period when many different pneumatic spearguns were built, improving on the heavy pneumatic weapons from the previous decade.
