is it just me or does no one talk about pole spears or fish they got on pole spears some one plz post pic's of a pole speard fish

I just got back from Maui and I went spearfishing almost everyday for a week with my 3 prong (pole spear). I am new to the sport and had read that starting off with a pole spear is the way to go. I really enjoy the nature of hunting with a pole spear, you really have to know the different fish and techniques to hunt them. I plan on getting a gun soon, but I have a feeling I will use the pole spear when I I want that pure spearfishing freediving experience. It seems that freediving and polespears are about as pure as it gets. I managed to spear this weke at Black Rock in Maui in about 30 feet of water. Had to wait for him to start feeding and then I dove down on him silently from above. Here is a picture of the weke(yellow stripped goat fish).I know he is not big, but its my first catch with a polespear. I was using a 6 ft 2 piece graphite Sea Horse pole spear. If the picture does not show up I will post it later, this the first time I have posted a pic.

I'm another one who prefers the polespear. I've got pictures, but for some reason it's not letting me upload them, telling me my jpg pic is not a jpg.

I must agree no one ever mentions pole spears around here. I am picking up my first pole spears tomorrow in Ft Lauderdale to use here in Nassau. I am new to spearfishing and any tips would be appreciated.

What I have so far is good beach access, a reef about a mile offshore (20-100' deep), 2 polespears (polespears and hawaiian slings only in the Bahamas), Cressi Sub Rondine Gara 3000's, 2 Seadoo Sea Scooter VS Superchargeds to get out to the reef (with a buddy hopefully), and a breath hold time of only 1 minute. I quit smoking just now.

There's moderate boat traffic right over my target area... any thoughts on this?

Any ideas from the experts on this setup- I'll be in the water this weekend.
