Lets start with the easy part before we ask who the hell "Anonymous" are and why they use that creepy figure rather than a real human being reading that text with echoes.

I had not heard that I couldn't grow my own fruits and vegetables. Could you elaborate before I rush to dig up my little herb garden?

Before I get suckered into watching any more videos, I want to find out about growing my own fruits and vegetables. I suppose my herb garden may not qualify as vegetables, but I also have tangerines, oranges, and grapefruit.

Am I in danger? Will the black helicopters be swooping in?
 
My housemate is american, both of his parents work for their armed forces. His father was based at the pentagon, i've asked him to ask about this.

I also asked a friend from California but as yet no answer.

Bill if you’ve got home grown tangerines you don’t need to worry about the black helicopters, worry more about me falling out the sky, there can’t be many things that could be better than walking down your garden and picking a fresh tangerine off your own tree.

Not to say the information presented is valid in any way, but I think your reasons for dismissal are fallacious.

Namely you're making the argument that because the person (Anonymous) bringing the information has no credit the information itself must be flawed too. This is a form of the ad hominem fallacy.

It's an appeal to emotion, not to reason.

Pleas do not use Sophist's tactics, argue logically.

Or lets look at it this way. I didn't bring up the subject. Someone else wants to convince me that something is true. I don't have any obligation to listen to that person. I don't want to waste my time with kooks. If that person or persons wants to convince me, then its his obligation to present himself as someone I should listen to. If he wants to remain anonymous and use some creepy figure on the screen rather than an actual human being, then he has no credibility and I'm not going to waste my time. There is too much of that crap floating around on the web anyway, and I can only tolerate so much.

And as I said in the first place, the original poster got off on the wrong foot by saying something that I knew to be untrue- that I was not allowed to grow my own fruits and vegetables. If he is the person vouching for this video, then I'm inclined to believe that it will be more of the same.
 
We don't have to sue you, you're about to be arrested for growing tangerines and the state will just give us your belongings.

I believe I did argue logically enough given the film in question. Do people get Nobel prizes for most intelligent information passed on in the most pointless and incredulous way? If you have decent information and want to be taken seriously then pass it on seriously.
 

Please come help. I feel so bad about throwing away so much fruit every year.

Maybe we could schedule a DB tangerine party in my front patio. I'll provide the tangerines, and you folks can provide the beer and wine.

You don't need to write a response or reaction. And you're right many go overboard proclaiming things they have not verified. In my book also a thing that people can work on, learning to verify data, checking the grammar, before passing it on, before asking people to put energy in it. Lies and half truths have to be filtered out.

I don't think any person is going to forbid growing food. But making it practically very tough seems to be in the cards. To bad individual gardeners do not have to cash to lobby for exemptions.

The craziness is becoming apparent though:

Anyway red tape is a nice way to kill any business. And the excuse of safety never grows old or suspicion. But as you may know smaller business suffers the most from all that paperwork. Some laws are wanted. I would favour a bill saying GMO food needs to be labelled. And the country of origin. Things that are never, respectively often on any label here.
As with any language I would like to see clearer language that cannot be abused by lawyers, prosecutors or judges.

Personally I got some friends who are in a battle with their local government who claims/seeks to have a right to passage over their property. The government was ruled 3 times wrong, was ordered to correct the situation, but still goes on harassing my friends. Harassment includes nightly visits by a group of armed policemen holding crowbars, inciting hatred of their neighbours against my friends and allowing other present civilians to trespass unopposed. And more.

I have no problem expecting they like to extent their control even more.

Just be happy the president doesn't think of you as a terrorist, you may earn an secret vacation, no rights acknowledged, as decided by an military tribunal, where the charges are kept secret too, so that even you Ali the smart ass lawyer cannot win! - I bet you're not on a NO FLY list yet! You know even elected senators and congressmen deserve a place on that list. And like Timoty proposes these people should not be allowed to have a firearm. And if you do not like people observing you naked (and recording) you may want to go for a more personal touch and say 'opt out'. I feel safer already.

I would just like to put this on the table.

You can't trust the TV, its the biggest hypnotist on the planet! My goverment lie to me, my friends love the tv and will defend something they don't understand, a lot of them don't even realise how many freedoms humas have lost over the years. Anyway i digress.

What im trying to say is, I thought I would ask here because your 'logically' the most level headed type of people I can communicate with.

I speak nothing but the truth regards growing your own food, owning seeds etc.

I asked if this video was legit, I have not once said that this is happening right now but as the greedier get greedier and those in charge get more corrupt, what am I to believe?

The only people I have available to ask are my parents who under stand how the world works but they closed themselves off in the highlands of Scotland, so I leave them to that.

It's a difficult thing. Often there are laws put on the books years before enforcement. Pretty much always they are expended to include more and have more and heavier penalties.

Resistance mostly depend on an economic calculation. Many perceive they are dependent on the state, so they are reluctant to desire it's downsizing. What most do is flock to 'the biggest group' and then support the view that the rest should pay them (more). People seem pretty happy to take over 'the gun' and force others to work for them. It's not only 'the army' that does this.

Enslaving others is a nasty human habit that I think needs to change.​

Maybe a society based on voluntarism, you know how we normally deal with friends and business, you know respecting the free will of others.
To reach this we do need to look on how we, and the state, raise our children. The inherent hypocrisy of different strokes for different folks needs to end. You cannot keep up that stealing is bad, but stealing as a group from an individual is allowed/good.

I'm sure when the downsizing of the western population happens (and it's already happening) more and more will show their frustration though violence. And surely that's a sign of long term abuse. You see people brought up under violence (physical and mental) are trained their 'fight or flight' responses. This overrules any rational thinking. Hence these people are unstable and at the same time easy to control.

Having a nice shack in the mountains (without a mortgage) far from the city and means to survival and defence would be nice.
