Hi All.
If you are interested, there is a competition in Paris on the 19th of March.
Here is the link to the registration page.
http://apneeattitude.xtremefish.com/inscription.php
Have a look to the other pages for information.
I did not see if this is an AIDA competition, and it is not in the list of events on the AIDA web-site, but AIDA is one of the partners
If you need some translations, do not hesitate to ask me.

I hope to see a saltfree team there, as I am going to this one.

sorry Remi - I will be working at the outdoor show that weekend but hope some other people can make it - do check it is an AIDA competition tho. If so it should be on their site. If its not, try and find out which rules it is under

Sam

this is an AIDA comp - they are just choosing judges

Hi Remi,

Is this a one day competition? Would be a long day with dynamic, dynamic n/f and static. zzz

Yes it is a one day event: here is the program translated (it might not always sound English, sorry)

- 9h15 : arrival with official busses
- 9H30 to 12h00 : 2 conferences + Tea break (amphi de Massy)
- 10h00 to 12h00 : Opening of the expositions in the aquatic centre - Start of the diving initiations and photo expositions

- 12h00 : lunch
- 13h30 to 16h00 : 3 conferences (amphi de Massy)
- 14h00 to 18h00 : expo reopens
- 16h00 : Transport from the "anphi de Massy" to the aquatic centre by busses
- 16h30 to 17h30 : registration to the competition
- 18h00 : Static warm-up
- 18h45 : Static starts
- 20h00 : Static ends
- 20h00 to 20h30 (Break) : synchronised swim spectacle
- 20h30 : Dynamic warm-up
- 21h15 : Dynamic starts

- 22h00 : Dynamic no fins warm-up in parallel in the 25m pool
- 22h30 : Dynamic ends
- 22h35 : Dynamic no fins starts
(and Word record attempt)
- 23h00 : Dynamic no fins ends
- 23h30 : Prices and diner
- 00h30 : Official busses to go to the hotels

A long day indeed, but I am sure you can handle that Guy rofl

Present will be Umberto Pelizzari, Pierre Frolla, Stéphane Mifsud, Loïc Leferme, Guillaume Nery.... they will take part to the conferences.
I don't know if the conferences will be in English, but is quite likely to be in French as all the web site is in French.

Sounds really interesting. Will try to make it if I can. The competition times seem to be pretty short - are there many spaces for entrants ?

Guy

Too late for me, just book 2 days ago.
£43 return with easy-jet from Luton (that's about 60 euros). That's not too bad.
But prices are going to increase.
I don't need any hotel easer, I'll stay at my girlfriend's.
But some other will be interested.
C U There

What kind of pool is it? 50m? 25m? How warm? How deep?

Any last subscribtion?

Hi,

First of all : happy new year.

More information about the pool and pictures at this page :
http://apneeattitude.xtremefish.com/pratique.htm

There is one pool of 50 m, one of 25 m and a smaller.
I don't know the exact temperature but it's warm. No worry about that.
I will be possible to eat sandwiches and other sweets for lunch.

Hi Donna
It went pretty well for a first comp.
I did 4min30 in static
108 dynamic with fins
67 dynamic no fins
(I have not seen any official results yet, but this is more or less what I did, and they were all valid)

I really enjoyed the experience, whish some of you were there, I was a bit lonely :(
I really want to do more comps now :)
Next one will be in Nice (home sweat home :) ) and I hope a lot of you will come.
For those worried about being late for inscriptions, you should be fine, there are still plenty of places, but the sooner you register, the better.
Will you be coming Donna?

C U soon
Remi

Well done, great performance....

Its unlikely I'll be coming to Nice, got no one out here to have the kids at that time and they'll still be at school..... The downside of living in Cyprus I guess. Plus the cost of flights out of here are very expensive - Cyprus doesn't fly everywhere like Heathrow does....

Take care, and very well done again...
