I've been impressed by the Kiwi dive rigs and set about creating a portable unit for travelling. The nice thing about this rig is that it is big when setup but small and lite when packed up for travel. You can swim the thing out easily and set the rope simply at what ever depth you want. I've pulled up 10kg from 60m with this rig and it is really easy as you just put your knees against it and haul away while your buddy throws the pulled up slack rope back into the middle of the thing. The whole thing including my 105meters of 12mm rope fits into a standard sports bag. The rig itself will fit in most small day packs. All the bits can be sourced from any boating store and only simple tools are required to make the extra bits.......plus the flame colours are kinda cool
