Sorry for the delay in reply, was organising a spaering trip to struisbaai. Basically, powerheads are considered illegal in SA. Nobody is allowed to make one becuase the pipe used is considered a barrel and therefore a fire-arm!!!
The police have actually raided all the dive shops, well spearing shops, and have warned the proprioters that selling of powerheads is illegal.
