What is more important when training with a "Powerlung" device, the inhaling or the exhaling ? I would imagine the inhaling part is more important in developing lung capacity and strenght to to fill them up more.

Hi!!! You know I also have some questions with power lung and Eric Fattah, which has a great knowledge on freediving, told me that the power lung can help you to some extent but not as much as alternate nostril breathing. You can search for this yoga technique in deeper blue.

I also have a power lung and once in a while I try to focus in increasing resistance levels. With progresive resistance level you can benefit with this technique. I think both inhale and exhale are important for a better workout in any sport.

Thanks for that mate. i fail to see how alternate nostril breathing can help in a simular way to a Powerlung. they are very different according to me but i would love to be educated on this.

yup... its s device that restrains the lungs so you have to breath harder and blow harder to get air in and out.... good for the muscles to develop... its kinda like and asthma machine !

I have a powerlung and have never found it much use to be honest. As someone above says, pranayama stuff works much better

I wouldn't bother spending money on one if I were you
