Question Probably the most newbie question ever...

Obviously new to freediving. I've been working on improving my breath holds outside of the pool.

My question is about the breath holds. I've watched various videos and read various articles.

The thing I don't quite get is when to hold the breath - after I breath in or after I breath out.

I see a lot (most actually) coaching people to hold the breath after breathing in.

If freediving means holding the breath after breathing in then how do people sink in the water?

Like I said, probably the most newbie question ever written.

So have your laughs
