I have been looking around and I have not seen this answered. What happens of you don't set the watch to dive mode before getting in? The manual says it must be out of the water to set dive mode.

Does this mean hold your hand above water and set it, or does it mean get on the boat let it dry off for half an hour and set it?

Thanks!

Just hold it out of the water and push the button.
It calibrates the depth gauge so if you do it submerged it will not accurately show the depth.

OK thanks! I had a feeling that it had to be done to zero itself out. I'm glad you just hold it out of the water to do it. Thanks!
