Hi there ive got a question that no one can answer.. so im posting it here...

**say the record for static apena is 5min

**and the record for cw is 100m

And I do a dive to 150m and it takes me 6min

Does that mean Ill be holding the static apnea record and sw record..

Can that be done....:duh :duh

Cheers

Mozzi,
Most people, with practice, can do static for roughly twice the time of diving, therefore if you could do a 6 min dive, you would be able to do over 11 minutes in static. Would you want a world record for static of 6 minutes when you could do 11? The question really isn’t practical.

To be more exact, world records are only world records if certain requirements are meet. One of them is official judges. The static rules require communication and signals between the participant and their spotter to assure the participant has not blacked out. Those rules could not be meet on a dive where the criteria is depth or distance.

Well...if you have 1500m runner running on average 8 s per 100m...he would be setting both records...for 100m and for 1500m...can that be done? :)
